Concerns & complaints

Complaints Policy

How do I raise a concern? +

In the first instance, please raise any concern informally with your child's key person or the setting manager — most concerns are resolved this way within 5 working days.

What if I want to make a formal complaint? +

Formal complaints should be submitted in writing to the setting manager. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and respond in full within 10 working days. A written record is kept for 3 years. All complaints are handled confidentially unless we're required by law to share information.

What if my complaint isn't resolved? +

If a complaint remains unresolved after our own procedure, it's escalated to our Senior Manager. You're also welcome to contact Ofsted directly at any point to raise a concern — call 0300 123 4666 or email enquiries@ofsted.gov.uk.

SEND

SEND Local Offer

We're committed to identifying and supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as early as possible, working closely with families every step of the way. Our approach follows an Assess–Plan–Do–Review cycle, with a baseline review within the first 6 weeks and a further check at 2 years. We keep in close contact with parents through daily handovers, Tapestry updates and termly focus letters, and support smooth transitions between settings and into school.

Our Head SENCO is Maureen Dudman (SENCO Level 3), supported by SENCOs Hayley Smith, Chloe Norgate and Jess Leask Madial. Families may also be eligible for additional funding such as SENIF/SENELF or the Disability Access Fund (DAF) — ask your setting manager for details.
